Ben Wesley
East Youth Dance Ambassador for Norfolk
Dance biography
I have performed in school shows and concerts, all of which involved different types of dance; from street to stylized movement. I have also taken part in Rock Challenge® performances and annual national schools’ dance/drama competitions. In 2009 my school won first place!
Most recently I performed at OPEN, a youth venue in Norwich.
What do you want to achieve in your role?
I want to show others that having a disability shouldn’t stop people from doing what they enjoy. I am not the best dancer, but I do have the drive and determination not to let that stop me. Dance is a great way to express emotion and feeling, but above all, dance is fun!
What are your aims as an East Youth Dance Ambassador?
- To inspire people.
- To show people that having a disability doesn’t have to be an obstacle.
- To meet people with the same passion for dance.
