Dance biography

Since the age of three I have began dancing, and the first style of dance I experienced was ballet. The next style I then went on to was street dance which I still really enjoy! Once I got to Upper School and took GCSE Dance as an option I realised my love for contemporary.

Being at a school where the level of dance is at a high standard opened up many opportunities, including being able to try out Indian dancing and perform at a local festival.

I take part in extracurricular dance clubs at school and attend a local dance group called Bedfordshire Youth Dance Company which I really enjoy! Through taking dance I have now found myself wanting to try out lots of different styles and courses which will help me in the future.

What will you do in your area as a Youth Dance Ambassador?

I am going to show young people different opportunities they can get involved with. I believe anyone who is a dance lover should be able to experience different styles and classes and these should be promoted to young people in the region.
